Step 4: Looking inside the wires with an oscilloscope, or something to that effect
The main display panel is for the digital oscilloscope, which shows how the voltage at each wire changes over time, giving you an easy way to spot errors and see how the system works. Try probing the wire from the function generator as well as the wires going to the motor- is the voltage to the motors what you'd expect it to look like?
